Metabronze were asked if the business could provide vinyl floor wastes made from 316 Stainless steel, product quality being the primary design objective of specifiers that required vinyl floor wastes to be installed within Healthcare Facilities.
Metabronze generally provides Vinyl Floor Wastes with a 304 stainless steel body, a 316 Stainless steel ring, and a flat grate assembly.
Metabronze and SPS easily fulfilled the specification of providing 'all 316' Vinyl Floor Wastes which were treated as a 'special order'. In keeping with the reputation that Metabronze is well known for, that is working closely with customers to fulfil their most challenging needs, we secured the manufacture of this very high-quality specified product.
The 100mm Push-in Sheet Vinyl Floor Wastes provided by Metabronze are Watermarked under ATS5200:040(ref: 20052) and have double O-rings designed specifically for 100mm PVC pipe. Also available should the pipes been made from different material are O-ring sizing for HDPE and Copper Piping. The grate is designed with a 5mm bar and 5mm gap high-heel friendly grate pattern.
This project is different from most new construction projects, with the Developer choosing to take stock of all (over 220 Vinyl Floor Wastes) prior to the commencement of the Hospital floor plates. Their strategy for purchasing the Vinyl Floor Wastes 'up front' was to avoid the inflationary price increases that have been associated with the construction industry over the last few years.
To gain a better understanding of the current and future needs of this project, we worked closely with the Hanlon Plumbing Project Team as well as have senior management personally deliver the SPS 100mm Push-in sheet Vinyl Floor Wastes to the New Plymouth Storage Facility.
The SPS Vinyl Floor Wastes are generally provided with 304 grade stainless steel bodies and grates or 314 grade bodies and 316 grade stainless steel grates. Metabronze can also provide the Vinyl Floor Wastes with ABS and brass bodies, and coupled with chrome-plated brass grates, these alternative features providing for reduced product costs. For certain models, the materials for the vinyl floor waste are inter-changeable.
There is also a 100mm Vinyl Floor Waste fitted with an external rubber sleeve that will work with both PVC and HDPE Pipe.
The SPS range of Vinyl Floor Wastes are also available in 80mm and 150mm outlet sizes.
